Online Safety

At Garras Primary School we believe that online safety plays a vital role in keeping children safe. To help safeguard pupils from potential dangers or unsuitable material we have security measures in place to filter inappropriate materials during on-line activities and to monitor staff and pupil use of the available IT resources. We record and manage any online safety incidents in accordance with SPCMAT policy. At Garras we teach online safety to all year groups. We explain and demonstrate how to stay safe and behave appropriately online.

To be successful at keeping children safe online, we need to work with parents to ensure the online safety message is consistent. It is important that parents spend time discussing with their children how they can keep safe and behave appropriately online.
